The best of Pacific documentaries

The 10th Pacific International Documentary Film Festival is in full swing! This annual event, which is taking place in the Tahitian Maison de la Culture, features 39 documentaries from different Pacific Island countries: Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Hawaii.

Films that are being shown this year focus mainly on human rights and the environmental issues. Nuclear bombing in Tahiti, the impact of globalization or the culture of indigenous Lak people from Papua New Guinea constitute just a few examples of what can be seen at the festival.

The 10th FIFO will end on Sunday, 17th February. For more information, visit the website: www.fifo-tahiti.com
